This aluminium profile is designed for recessed lighting applications, including outdoor environments. To prevent distortion caused by the expansion and contraction of surrounding hard surfaces, the profile must be installed in a bed of flexible sealant, ensuring it remains “floating” and not in direct contact with materials such as concrete, grout, or tiles. This method allows the structure around the profile to move naturally without transferring stress to the profile or diffuser cover. For added protection, ensure that the profile ends are properly sealed to prevent moisture ingress.
