This handy adaptor lets you fit a standard E27 bulb into a larger E40 lamp holder, so you can keep using your existing indoor fitting without having to replace the whole fixture—ideal for straightforward home lighting swaps and everyday practical setups.
Perfect for a garage or workshop where a common bulb is easier to find and replace. It’s also handy for older pendant or industrial-style lights that still look great but use an oversized holder — you can use modern, easy-to-buy bulbs to keep the look while simplifying upkeep. A small change that makes bulb sourcing and routine swaps much less of a hassle.
Specifications
- Material: High-quality plastic and metal
- IP Rating: IP20 – Indoor Use
- Dimensions: 8.5cm x 4cm
Power Off Before Fitting: Turn off power to the fixture before installing the adaptor or bulb to avoid accidental activation while handling.
Use Indoors Only: Install and operate the adaptor only in indoor fittings, as it has an IP20 rating unsuitable for outdoor conditions.
Fit Adapter And Bulb Securely: Screw the adaptor into the E40 holder, then insert the E27 bulb. Hand-tighten until snug; do not overtighten.
Check Fixture Clearance First: Ensure the adaptor and bulb have enough space in the fitting and do not interfere with shades or covers.
