Installation Guidance, Tips & Tricks
- Before you begin, switch off the main power supply at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.
- Gather required tools and materials: drill, masonry bit, wall plugs, screws, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, external surge protector (recommended for outdoor use), waterproof cable glands, wire connectors, silicone sealant and a level.
- Unpack the LED Flood Light and check that you have the mounting bracket, light housing, mounting screws and gasket. Inspect for any damage.
- Install the external surge protector near the installation point following the manufacturer’s instructions and local electrical codes.
- Hold the mounting bracket against the intended wall or surface. Use a level to ensure it is straight, then mark the drill holes with a pencil.
- Drill holes at the marked points, insert wall plugs, then secure the mounting bracket with the supplied screws.
- Feed the supply cable through the flood light’s waterproof cable gland, ensuring the rubber seal is correctly positioned to maintain the IP65 rating.
- Connect the incoming live (L), neutral (N) and earth (E) wires to the corresponding terminals in the flood light. Tighten the terminal screws firmly and ensure no bare copper is exposed.
- Apply silicone sealant around the cable gland and any mounting points to preserve weather resistance.
- Attach the flood light housing to the mounting bracket using the supplied pivot bolts. Adjust the beam angle to your preference, then tighten all bolts securely.
- Switch the power back on at the circuit breaker and test the light to confirm proper operation. Make any final angle adjustments if required.
