The best option depends on how permanent the installation is, whether the strip is exposed to moisture, and how much control you want over scenes and colour temperature. These four picks cover simple plug-and-play mood lighting through to flexible RGBW systems for more considered interiors.

Colour-changing strip lighting is most successful when the fitting is chosen for the location and the control method is planned before installation. Keep the strip concealed behind a lip, diffuser or furniture edge where possible, and choose the voltage, IP rating and power supply as one system.

The Philips MyCare kit and RGBW television-focused options make it easy to add a softer halo behind a screen or cabinet. Position the strip out of direct sight so the wall receives the glow rather than the viewer seeing individual LED points.

A 24V RGBW strip gives a more versatile result when the same run needs to provide a warm-white working glow during the day and colour accents after dark. Plan a concealed channel, allow space for the driver and check the strip width before ordering aluminium profile or connectors.

Waterproof 12V and 24V RGB strips are useful for covered entertainment areas, garden features and other locations where splashes or humidity may be present. A waterproof strip still needs a suitable power supply, sealed connections and sensible cable routing to keep the installation dependable.
Use brighter colour for a feature moment, softer tones for background atmosphere and warm white for the hours when the room needs to remain comfortable and practical. Concealed placement, clean joins and the correct driver are what turn a strip into finished lighting rather than a visible line of LEDs.
Need help choosing?
Share the room, approximate run length, indoor or outdoor location and the effect you want. Future Light can help narrow the strip type, voltage, IP rating and control accessories before you order.
Contact Future LightRGB is focused on colour effects. RGBW adds a dedicated warm-white channel, making it more suitable where the strip must also provide a comfortable everyday glow.
Most low-voltage strip systems need a compatible power supply. Match the output voltage and allow enough capacity for the full installed length.
Choose a strip with an appropriate IP rating and protect the power supply, connectors and joins from moisture. Waterproof tape alone does not make every component outdoor-ready.
Place the strip behind a lip, in an aluminium channel or behind a diffuser so the room sees an even wash of light rather than exposed LED points.
