What an outdoor LED aluminium profile does
An aluminium profile houses the strip and gives the installation a cleaner edge than an exposed strip. It can also provide a mounting surface and a cover that softens visible LED points. The profile does not replace a suitable outdoor-rated strip, power supply or connector system. Those parts still need to match the environment.

Match the strip to the channel
Measure the actual strip width before ordering. The strip must sit neatly inside the channel without being pinched by the cover. Also check the strip voltage, IP rating, brightness and bend direction. A profile can improve the installation, but it cannot correct a strip that is too wide or unsuitable for the exposure.
Why use a frosted cover?
A frosted cover spreads the light and reduces the sharp appearance of individual LED points. It is useful where the profile is visible from the side, such as a step edge, patio border or pathway. Keep the cover clean and plan access so it can be inspected after installation.
