1. Measure the run
The featured profile is supplied at 3m and measures 21 x 26.1mm. Mark the intended line, note corners and allow for cable entry and end points. Do not cut the surface until the profile and strip have been checked together.
2. Confirm the strip width
The maximum supported strip width is 10.5mm. Measure the strip itself, including any protective coating that affects the fit. The diffuser should close without forcing it against the LED strip.
3. Prepare the installation surface
For a recessed installation, the channel must sit level with the surrounding surface and remain accessible for future inspection. Remove sharp edges that could damage cable or strip. Plan drainage and sealing around the installation rather than relying on the cover alone.
4. Fit the strip and frosted cover
Test the strip before closing the channel. Seat it neatly, avoid tight bends and install the frosted cover without pinching the strip. Keep the visible line consistent where sections meet.
5. Check the supporting components
Use compatible LED striplight connectors and cabling and a correctly sized LED power supply. Confirm voltage, total wattage, cable length and the environmental rating of the full system.
6. Test before final closure
Switch the installation on briefly and check even illumination, joints, diffuser seating and cable entry points. Correct problems while the profile is still accessible.
